So, Whats the Story?

Obsidian Mag is a creation by Schuyler True. The first issue was published in August of 2022. I wanted to publish my photos somewhere off of social media platforms and decided that creating a platform itself was the direction i wanted to take.

The purpose of the mag is to create tangible, physical documentation of our community and what we do. It's a place where stories and photos can be shared. In our growing community, having strong media outlets outside of social media is very important. DH skateboarding is on the rise.

Obsidian is also a place for the creative people in our scene to share their work. If you love DH skateboarding, the scene based in NC, and greater southeast, Then Obsidian can be a platform for your work too. If you are a Photographer, Videographer, Writer, Artist, or Storyteller of any kind, then Obsidian please reach out. Obsidian is meant to be a collaborative collection of work from our community.
